Bread dumplings are a staple in Bavaria, where they are a delicious substitute for potatoes or noodles covered with your favorite gravy.

Dumplings are fully cooked and ready to eat. They’re best served with any type of gravy, or they can be sliced and fried with onions as you would fried potatoes.
To heat in water: remove the casing from each dumpling, drop into boiling water, cover, and turn down heat to a simmer. Let the dumplings simmer for at least 10-15 minutes.
Will keep without freezing, and stay fresh up to 4 weeks if refrigerated and kept unopened in vacuum-sealed package. Once opened, use or freeze within 7 days.
Can also be frozen for up to 2 months without affecting flavor or quality. If frozen, defrost slowly in refrigerator; do not thaw at room temperature.
