Storage information:
These sausages keep without freezing; they will only air dry in refrigerator. Will stay fresh up to 3 weeks. Sausages need air circulation. Best if wrapped in paper towel. Can also be left in original unopened vacuum tight packaging. Should vacuum packaging become loose - indicating an air leak - remove immediately and wrap in paper towel. You can freeze these items up to 2 months without affecting their flavor or quality. Defrost sausage slowly in refrigerator, do not thaw at room temperature.

How to serve:
No. 560 Mettwurst: Ready to eat as is, do not heat. Just spread on rye, toasted whole wheat bread, or a cracker.
No.581 Landjaeger, No. 591 Debreziner, No. 601 Kilometer: These sausages can be cubed and served as appetizers with chunks of cheese, or put on the grill. Try Landjaeger heated, whole or sliced, in sauerkraut. Horseradish and hot mustard are good condiment choices.
No.611 Gyulai: Simmer in water or heat in sauerkraut. Good with fried potatoes on the side.
No.571 Holsteiner: Take along on trips to use as meat for sandwiches or with cheese and crackers.
Nos. 571, 581, 591, 601, and 611 can be air dried like salami.
